Museum and Faunistic Area
Museum of the Apennine is dedicated to the walf and its relationship with man, while it possible to look at the lynx in the nearby area.
Excursions
Civitella Alfedena is a good starting point to reach some of the most famous mountains of the Park as Camosciara or Val di Rose, which brings you to Refuge of Forca Resuni where it is possible to see local chamoises.
Cycle Track
A path of 2 km, along the east side of the Lake of Barrea. It is perfect for mountain bike or to ride.
The path has an historical importance, infect it was part of the sheep-track which went from Pescasseroli to Candela (Puglia).
A Necropolis of the ancient italic population of the Safinim is along the track, in the place known as Colle Ciglio.
The many finds are preserved in the museums of Chieti and in the antiquarium of Barrea.
Boats to hire
The area is 5 km from the hotel. It can be reached by foot or by bus (the stop is in front of the hotel).
